Sunday 7th September
10.30am Annual Covenant Service with Confirmation and Reception into Membership (Rev Chris Gray). The Covenant Service takes place just once a year in each Methodist church and finds its roots in the invitation John Wesley made to the first Methodist societies to renew covenant relationship with God. We will also be receiving four people into our membership this morning.
6.00pm Circuit Service at Toton Methodist Church. The churches of the Nottingham Trent Valley Methodist Circuit worship together this evening, at the start of a new Methodist year, to celebrate and encourage our work among children, young people and students.
Please note the time of this service. There is no service at Chilwell Road this evening.
Sunday 14 th September
9.00am Holy Communion (Rev Chris Gray)
10.30am Morning Worship (Jennifer Goulden). Jennifer is a Methodist Local Preacher from Toton Methodist Church. She shares in the leadership of the Lay Witness Movement in Great Britain, which has brought renewal and encouragement to many churches.
6.30pm Evening Worship ( Ed Ball). Ed is from Stapleford Methodist Church and lectures in Old Testament Studies at Nottingham University.
Sunday 21 st September
10.30am Morning Worship Christians and the Environment (Rev Chris Gray and the Chilwell Road Youth Fellowship). The young people of Chilwell Road have planned an act of worship to challenge our thinking and our Christian response to environmental issues. There w ill also be a baptism during this service.
6.30pm Holy Communion (Rev Neil Stacey). Neil is Methodist Chaplain to the University of Nottingham and Superintendent Minister of the Nottingham Trent Valley Circuit.

HARVEST FESTIVAL: LIVING THANKFULLY, LIVING CAREFULLY, LIVING GENEROUSLY
9.00am Holy Communion (Rev Eileen Wragg)
10.30am Harvest Festival All Age Worship (Rev Chris Gray and Rev Stuart Baxter). This morning we celebrate Harvest Festival together. Stuart, an Anglican priest from Belper, Derbyshire, shares in the baptism of his granddaughter, Lizzie, during this service. Members of the Girls’ Brigade are also present to share in their annual enrolment and dedication service.
