Sunday 14th March: 4th Sunday in Lent and Mothering Sunday

10.30am Morning Worship (Neil Jones) Neil is a Methodist Local Preacher from Trinity Methodist Church, Long Eaton

6.30pm United Lenten Service at Queens Road Methodist Church (Rev Antony Oakley). This service is one of our regular united services with the other Methodist congregations in Beeston and Chilwell. There is no service at Chilwell Road this evening.

10.30am World Church Service (Rev Jennifer Potter). Jennifer is Associate Methodist Minister at Wesley’s Chapel, City Road, London. She will be sharing with us about her recent visit to Zimbabwe. The service will be followed by a church lunch at which Jennifer will speak.

10.30am All Age Worship (Rev Chris Gray). As part of this service there will be a Palm Sunday procession and the distribution of palm crosses.

6.30pm Evening Worship (Rev Judi Smart) Judi is Minister of Trinity and Christ Church Methodist Churches in Long Eaton and of Breaston Methodist Church.

11.00am Walk of Witness begins in Broadgate Park and concludes with a brief service in Beeston Square

7.00pm Good Friday Service (Rev Chris Gray) at Rylands Methodist Church

8.15pm Music and Reflection for Good Friday at Chilwell Road (Rev Chris Gray)

Sunday 4th April: Easter Sunday  

6.30am Sunrise Service at Attenborough Nature Reserve close to the Visitor Centre Car Park

8.00am Holy Communion (Rev Chris Gray) followed by breakfast

10.30am Easter Morning Worship with Holy Communion (Preacher: Ian Wragg; Presiding Minister: Rev Eileen Wragg). Brother and sister, Eileen and Ian, share the leading of this celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. Eileen is a Supernumerary Minister and Ian a Local Preacher. They are both part of our Chilwell Road congregation.

6.30pm Evening Worship (Marion MacDonald) Marion is a Methodist Local Preacher who worships at Bramcote Methodist Church.

10.30am Morning Worship (Martin Sykes). Martin is a Methodist Local Preacher from Grangewood Methodist Church in Wollaton

6.30pm Evening Worship “Faith in Politics” (John Patrick). John is one of our Local Preachers from Chilwell Road. This service will explore some of the issues facing us as we engage with the electoral process. He will be joined by David Watts, Methodist Local Preacher and Lib-Dem candidate for Broxtowe.

Sunday 18th April: 3rd Sunday of Easter  

10.30am Morning Worship (Rev Chris Gray). This service will include a focus on our church charity “Welcome the Stranger”.

6.30pm Holy Communion (Rev Stuart Bell). Stuart is Minister of Grangewood Methodist Church and Superintendent of the Nottingham Trent Valley Circuit.

10.30am All Age Worship (Martin Weir). Martin is a Methodist Local Preacher from Chilwell Road

6.30pm Evening Worship (Rev Antony Oakley). Antony is Minister of Queens Road and Clarkes Lane Churches.

6.30pm Evening Worship (Rev Clifford Bell). Clifford is a Supernumerary Minister and the father of Stuart Bell, our Superintendent. This is Clifford’s first appointment at Chilwell Road since returning to our circuit and we look forward to welcoming him.

10.30am Morning Worship (Deacon Viv Gray). Viv is a Methodist Deacon serving the Breaston, Christ Church (Long Eaton) and Trinity (Long Eaton) Methodist Churches. She is the long-suffering wife of Chris, Chilwell Road’s minister! This is Viv’s first appointment to preach at Chilwell Road and we look forward to welcoming her.

6.30pm Evening Worship (Doreen Trembling). Doreen is a Methodist Local Preacher from Sandiacre Methodist Church.

Thursday 13th May: Ascension Day

7.30pm Service for Ascension Day led by Rev Chris Gray

10.30am Church Anniversary Morning Worship (Rev Brian Hoare). Brian is a former President of the Methodist Conference and General Secretary of the Home Mission Division of the Methodist Church

6.30pm Church Anniversary Holy Communion (Rev Brian Hoare). We will be joined at this service by members of the other Methodist Churches in Beeston and Chilwell.
