Our church family has a membership of about 200. We spend time together on Sundays in worship and then enjoy each others’ company in the coffee bar. During the week, six Church Groups gather for fellowship on the premises and five House Groups in members’ homes.
The Pastoral Committee oversees the work of the Class Leaders and Pastoral Visitors.
Class leaders keep an informal eye on how everyone is doing within these groups and offer encouragement and support to each other where we can.
A team of Pastoral Visitors offers a network of support for all our members and many others who regularly attend church. Each Pastoral Visitor keeps in touch with a number of people, encouraging them in their faith and their contact with the church, offering extra support when required and keeping the Minister informed of any ongoing needs. The Pastoral Committee oversees the work of Pastoral Visitors, acting as a forum for training and sharing of experiences and ideas.
As a church we also offer other forms of pastoral caring, such as weekly giving of flowers and cards for celebration or in times of need, initial bereavement counselling, church services for those who have been bereaved and for people who act as carers for others, gifts of food and flowers at Harvest and Christmas, as well as the work carried out by our Church Family Worker.
