In response to the Methodist Church’s initiative for 2005-06 called “Pray without Ceasing”, we have created a place for prayer at Chilwell Road which is available for use whenever the church buildings are open for other activities.
The “Prayer Room” is situated at the back of the church, used on Sunday’s as the family Room. It is a place resourced for quiet, reflection and prayer. In the room you will find a table with a kneeler facing a cross, for those who find it helpful to pray in that way. There are also comfortable chairs. On another table there are a variety of books of prayers and meditations and Bibles to use.
There are pictures the room which may be used as an aid to prayer. There is also a CD player and some appropriate music for those who find music conducive to prayer and reflection. We have also installed some appropriate lighting in the room.
Please feel free to use the Prayer Room whenever you wish and whenever it is free. May you find it to be a real help and blessing in your spiritual journey.
