Faith and Worship

You are very welcome to join us in worship and in exploring your faith. Our aim always is that worship should be uplifting, thoughtful and relevant to your everyday life.

Copyright-Anne-Lyburn-3857Our Sunday Services include the following:

9.00 am: Service of Holy Communion A short service when we share the sacrament of bread and wine, held usually on the last Sunday of each month.

10.30 am: Morning Worship Our main service where we gather for worship for around one hour. The first Sunday of each month is a Service of Holy Communion, and one Sunday of the month is Church Family Worship when the service is particularly appropriate for children and young people. Your youngsters (ages 2 and a half to 18 years) are welcome to join Junior Church that meets each Sunday at 10.30am.

Copyright-Anne-Lyburn-5359There is a Family Room, for parents and carers with very young children, available during each service, from where the worship can be seen and heard. Refreshments are served after each service and all are very welcome.

6.30 pm: Evening Worship This second service is quieter and more reflective than the principal service in the morning. The third Sunday of the month is normally a Service of Holy Communion. Our services are led by the minister, Rev Colin Barrett, or preachers (lay and ordained) appointed by the Circuit Superintendent minister. Occasionally a visiting preacher is planned.

The services across the churches of the Nottingham Trent Valley Circuit can be found on the current Circuit Plan.

If you are exploring your faith, you may like to read the Daily Bible Verse, read our section on Prayer, or join a Bible Study or other Church group. Alternatively, just come along to our church and join us in worship and coffee afterwards. We’d love to meet you!
